Tony Marsella keynoted European Congress of Psychology
Academy Fellow Tony Marsella (and 2009  Lifetime Award recipient ) keynoted the 2009 meeting of the European Congress of Psychology on July 8, 2009.  His talk was entitled “Global poverty, human rights and psychology.” (added August 23, 2009)

Maria Lai-Ling Lam Promoted to Professor
Academy Member, Maria Lai-Ling Lam has been promoted to the rank of Professor at Malone College, located in Canton, Ohio, USA. (added August 23, 2009)

Ray Leki Promoted!
Academy Fellow Ray S. Leki has been promoted to Career Membership in the Senior Executive Service of the United States State Department.  This is the civilian equivalent of the rank of General or Admiral. (added August 24, 2009)

Centre for Applied Cross-cultural Research receives major grant.
The Center for Applied Cross-cultural Research at Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand has received a two year NZ$400,000 grant entitled Youth Voices, Youth Choices: Identity, Integration,and Social Cohesion in Culturally Diverse Aotearoa/New Zealand. The principle investigators are Academy Fellow Colleen Ward, with James Liu, Peggy Fairbairn-Dunlop, and April Henderson.(added August 24,2009)

Jeanette Martin  publishes new edition of book
Fellow Jeanette Martin, with Lillian Chaney will be bringing out the 5th Edition of Intercultural Business Communication in January, 2010. (added August 31, 2009)  

News from Jennifer Mahon
Academy Board Member Jennifer Mahon gave birth to twins Sydney and Spencer on July 15, 2009. Both mother and babies are doing well, though neither parent is getting much sleep.  (added September 6, 2009)
