Michael Harvey elected as a Fellow
Michael Harvey, Distinguished Professor of Global Business at the University of Mississippi (USA) has been elected a Fellow of the International Academy for Intercultural Research (added September 26, 2009)

Percy Tannebaum Dies
Percy Tannebaum, the co-author with Charles E. Osgood and George Suci of the classic Measurement of Meaning (University of Illinois Press, 1957) passed away on October 9, 2009 in Berkley, California.  The semantic differential technique, which was described in that book has become the standard method for assessing affective meaning and its various translations used in many intercultural studies.  (submitted on October 12, 2009 by Academy Fellow Jerry Boucher)

Rabi Bhagat keynoted conference

Dan Landis to keynote conference
Academy Founding Fellow Dan Landis will be a keynote speaker at the 16th International Association for Intercultural Communication Studies conference to be held in Guangzhou, PRC, June 18-20, 2010. Karen van der Zee elected a Fellow
Karen van der Zee van Oudenhoven (k.i.van.oudenhoven-van.der.zee@rug.nl) of the University of Groningen, The Netherlands was elected a Fellow of the Academy on December 7, 2009.

Academy Fellow Carlos Cortes received an NAACP Image Award for his contributions as Creative/Cultural Advisor for Nickelodean’s award-winning pre-school television shows, “Dora the Explorer” and “Go, Diego. Go.”  Carlos also gave the 100th performance of his one-man autobiographical play, “A Conversation with Alana: One Boy’s Multicultural Rite of Passage.”  (Submitted by Academy Fellow Carlos Cortes on December 22, 2009)

Heise publishes new book
